Group Lessons
Group lessons are a fun way to connect clay & community. This introduction to wheel throwing class is open for anyone to book. You will learn the basics of throwing pottery and create alongside others in the class.
AGES 16+ | Cleanup is required within the 90 min session.
$100 per person / 90mins / 5 person limit.
multiweek course
Join us for 4 weeks of fun! Throughout this beginner’s course, you will learn how to create a wheel thrown vessel from start to finish. Weeks 1 & 2 are focused on throwing. Week 3 is dedicated to trimming. Week 4 is focused on glazing. 6 pieces per person are included for this series. This course is designed for beginner to intermediate potters and those who already do have some experience on the wheel but want to improve upon their skills & want to learn to trim and glaze their work.
AGES 16+ | Cleanup is required within the 2hr session.

December Schedule: Friday’s at 5pm
January Schedule: Wednesday’s at 5pm
During your private lesson, you will receive 90 minutes of 1:1 instruction. This is a great option for those who learn best in small settings with individual attention or if you already know how to throw and just want to improve upon your skills with guidance & instruction

HAPPY HOUR
You'll get a quick and dirty demo on centering, forming, pulling walls and shaping. Then, you'll work at a wheel alongside others while we coach you through the process.

UN-INSTRUCTED BOOKINGS
Wheel Time is 90 minutes of UNINSTRUCTED time. If you have never done pottery before, we highly suggest booking a private lesson or taking an instructed class before diving into Wheel Time. Wheel Time is a great option for those who already have some experience on the wheel and want to improve upon their throwing skills. Come work at your own pace, practice and perfect your craft. You may use this time to trim or glaze any work you already have in progress.
Clay and tools are provided. Any piece you decide to keep will be a $10 firing fee.

Time
DIY HANDBUILDING
Hand-building is a great option for those who want to just play with some clay. We'll provide clay, tools, inspiration and examples. If needed, we'll provide a brief overview and instruction. From there, this is a DIY experience. You will be set up OUTDOORS at our picnic table (unless it is raining). One piece is included. Your work will be glazed, fired and ready to pick up in a few weeks.
$75 per person / 90mins

CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT!
NO DROP OFFS!
This class is specifically for clients who already have work made & bisque fired with us. We DO NOT provide pieces for you to glaze.
In this 90 minute session, we will walk you through the process of how to glaze your own work with our custom dip glazes and standard paint on glazes. After the demonstration, you will be on your own to glaze! This is a great opportunity for you to add your finishing touches to make your work truly YOU-nique.
Cleanup is required within the 90 min session.

Private Event Information:
We're so excited you're considering The Mudd House for your event! We love to celebrate birthdays, bachelorettes, team building, corporate events, and more! When you book a private event with us, you are renting out the entire studio space for 3 hours. You're welcome to bring food, drinks and decorations, just give us a heads up so we can plan accordingly.
What to Expect:
In your class, two skilled instructors will lead you through the basics of both handbuilding and wheel throwing. Half of the group will start with handbuilding and the other half will start on the wheel. At the 1.5 hour point we will switch so everyone gets a chance to do both handbuilding and wheel throwing.

9-12 People: $1,500
13-15 People: $2,000
16-20 People: $2,700
